My parents are currently in the process of painting some rooms downstairs. Sunday, Liesl and I figured we would go over there and finish paining the family room. The walls are a nice light green with a dark green accent wall. Well we just had to finish the accent wall and viola! We would be done. I took the task of shaking the paint can to mix up all the paint and while I was shaking it, I realized I should go and get a paintbrush off of the stairs to wipe the side of the can when I poured the paint out. Well somehow, some way I dropped the paint can. Yep... you guessed it. Half a gallon of dark green paint all over my parent's tan carpeting. Liesl and Warren were across the room and thought I had dropped the can on my foot or hurt myself in some way since the only word I could utter was "shit" over and over and over. It was like slow motion as I dropped the can and tried to use The Force to will it to land upright or catch it. Unfortunately for me and the carpet, I need some more practice in that department. Thanks to the dust pan, some carboard, all the rags in the house, Jacobson's carpet cleaner, several hours of scrubbing and who knows how many gallons of water later - the carpet just has a greenish sheen to it. The good part is that it could pass as a reflection of green off the walls and if that is not convincing enough, small enough to be covered with a small decorative rug. Liesl took pictures, but only after we had been scrubbing and laughing hysterically for an hour or so. I am such a knob. If you really want a good laugh, ask Warren for a reinactment. He thinks he is hilarious.
Other than that, last night Montana developed some sort of super eye snot that seems to have cleared up today. The only good thing about her not feeling well is she actually lays still for 5 minnutes. Poor thing. She is still eating though and her eye is better today in that it is still bloodshot, but not goopy. If it still isn't better by the weekend, I guess we will have to take her in. Until then warm washcloths will have to do.
